Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Laavo (“we”, “us”, or “our”), including our website at laavo.net and our application at app.laavo.net. Please read these terms carefully before using our service.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
By accessing or using Laavo — including our marketing website at laavo.net and our application at app.laavo.net — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
These terms apply to all users of Laavo, including shop owners, managers, and employees who have been invited to access a shop account.
2. Description of Service
Laavo is a cloud-based dry cleaning shop management platform. Our features include:
- Order creation, tracking, and management
- Customer management and communication
- Invoicing and receipt generation
- WhatsApp-based customer notifications
- Analytics and reporting
- Team management with role-based access
- Multi-store support
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time, as described in Section 12.
3. Account Registration
To use Laavo, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account password and PIN
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. One account may represent one business entity. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission.
4. Subscription and Payments
Free Trial
New accounts receive a 3-month free trial with full access to the platform. No credit card is required to start your trial.
Paid Subscription
After your trial period ends, continued use requires a paid subscription. You may choose a monthly or annual billing cycle. Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page, starting at 10 EUR per month.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the platform until your billing period expires.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you will continue to have access until the end of that month.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Laavo only for lawful purposes related to managing your dry cleaning business. You must not:
- Upload or distribute malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its related systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform
- Impersonate any person, business, or entity
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
- Store sensitive categories of personal data beyond what is needed for dry cleaning operations — for example, do not store health records, government-issued ID numbers, or financial account details for your customers
You are responsible for all data entered into Laavo by you or members of your team.
6. Your Data and Content
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Laavo, including customer records, order information, and business data. By using the platform, you grant Laavo a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy and legality of all data you enter into the platform
- Obtaining appropriate consent from your customers before storing their personal data in Laavo, as required by applicable data protection laws
- Ensuring your use of the platform complies with any obligations you have to your customers under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws
Data Export
Upon request and within 30 days of account termination, you may request an export of your data in a standard format. Contact us at [email protected] to arrange this.
7. Data Processing (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), when you use Laavo to store and manage your customers' personal data:
- You are the Data Controller— you determine the purposes and means by which your customers' personal data is processed.
- Laavo is the Data Processor— we process your customers' data only as instructed by you and as required to provide the service.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we process on your behalf. Our Privacy Policy describes these measures in detail.
If you are subject to GDPR, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis for collecting and processing your customers' data, and for honoring any data subject rights requests your customers make to you.
8. Intellectual Property
Laavo and all of its original content, features, functionality, design, and code are owned by Laavo and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Laavo name, logo, and branding are our trademarks.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our permission
- Modify or create derivative works based on the platform
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent
9. Third-Party Services
Laavo integrates with third-party services to deliver its features:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- WhatsApp — customer notifications via click-to-chat
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.
10. Limitation of Liability
Laavo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Laavo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: lost revenue or profits, loss of data, business interruption, or any other commercial damages or losses arising from your use of the service.
In any case, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Laavo in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Laavo and its team members from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the service in violation of these terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy rights
- Any data you enter into Laavo that is inaccurate, unlawful, or infringes third-party rights
12. Service Availability and Modifications
We aim to keep Laavo available at all times, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue individual features at any time. For significant changes or the discontinuation of core service features, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification.
Scheduled maintenance that may cause service interruption will be communicated in advance wherever possible.
13. Termination
By you: You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or through your account settings.
By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the platform in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the service. Where possible, we will notify you before taking such action.
Upon termination of your account:
- Your access to the platform will be revoked immediately
- Your data will be retained for 30 days to allow you to request an export
- After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted (backups purged within 90 days)
14. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. We will make a good-faith effort to address your concern promptly.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be resolved under the laws of the jurisdiction in which Laavo operates. EU-resident users retain the right to bring claims before the courts of their country of residence and to use applicable consumer protection mechanisms under EU law.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. All remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notification. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the terms were last revised.
Your continued use of Laavo after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should stop using the service and cancel your account.
